Below are some of Kurt Wild's work in chronological order.  Please forgive the quality of the pictures, because they were pictures taken off the screen from Mr. Wild's presentation.

This vase is thrown off-center, which is difficult to do.  The tomatoes are glaze decals

This piece is decorated with  decals Kurt made from a drawing made by a colleague of his

This vase was done by masking off the design with a rubber electrical  tape and then brushing on black over glaze

This two piece hand thrown pot is decorated with decals.  The yellow & the decals were end of his supply & he wanted to use them up.

This piece was decorated  by first applying bands of clay with a squeeze bag then using a chisel to manipulate the clay and press into the side of the pot used to make the vertical lines

This piece is built up of pieces that were placed inside a tube and finished with a thrown top.

This anniversary plate, which he made for himself, is decorated by using printing press type.  It was typical of some of the commissioned work he did.

This mug was made by applying  multiple layers of "press apply" dots as a stick-on mask and then spraying underglazes.

The blackness on all of the blackware pieces is the result of exposing pots to smoke at the end of the firing, usually by smothering them in sawdust.
