The Wisconsin Pottery Association will hold its 11th annual Pottery Show & Sale on Saturday August 26, 2006. All types of antique & collectible pottery will be on sale from 9am until 4pm for one day only. Some 50 Pottery dealers from across the nation will participate, as well as noted studio potters. Art Deco & Modern Style Ceramics 1910-1940 is the theme of this year’s exhibit. Visitors will see some great American & European Art Deco & “Modern Style” pottery, dinnerware & porcelain, including the uniquely American “Streamline” style. Other decorative items including furniture, metal, lighting, & textiles will also be on view. The ever-popular What Is It? will again be part of the event— bring your mystery pottery item to the show (two per admission) & Wisconsin Pottery Association members will informally identify & evaluate it. Buyers can expect our 50+ dealers to be selling a range of Art Deco & Streamline pottery & dinnerware, as well as other styles including Arts & Crafts, Mid-Century modern, & Art Nouveau, from companies such as Rookwood, McCoy, Weller, Fulper, Red Wing, & many, many more. The Pottery Show & Sale, featuring the Exhibit: Art Deco & Modern Style Ceramics 1910-1940 will be one day only, Saturday, August 26, 2006 in Madison, Wisconsin at the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center, off Rimrock Road near John Nolen Drive. From I-90 take exit 142A, Hwy 12-18 west 5 miles to Exit 262, Rimrock Road then, north ¼ mile. For a map, visit our website or see our display card. The Exhibit & Show will be open from 9am until 4pm. Admission will be $4. Parking will be $4.75 or free with a parking coupon downloaded from the WPA website or any official WPA ad or display card. Present the coupon or ad to the parking attendant at the Alliant Energy Center for free parking.
